Independent Embedded Linux
/ Kernel Engineer

I build embedded Linux platforms from first power-on to production: board bring-up, kernel drivers, Yocto BSPs, and system-level debugging.

capabilities

01

Embedded Linux

Production Linux platforms for ARM-based hardware: Yocto, BSP integration, U-Boot, image maintenance and release workflows.

YOCTO · BITBAKE · U-BOOT · OTA
02

Kernel & Drivers

Linux kernel work close to the metal: Device Tree, drivers, ASoC / ALSA, MFD, PMICs and upstream-oriented development.

C · LINUX · DT · ASOC · MFD
03

Bring-up & Debugging

From a silent board to a working system: boot failures, peripheral integration, power management, kernel debugging and tracing.

GDB · FTRACE · PERF · JTAG · SPI · I²C
04

Upstreaming

Patch preparation, subsystem conventions, review cycles and getting useful embedded work into the Linux mainline.

selected work

[02]

DTSEE — DEVICE TREE EXPLORER

TOOL · BETA

A free, browser-based explorer for Linux Device Trees. Import DTS or DTB files to navigate hardware hierarchies, recognized phandle relationships and hardware context, including register ranges, clocks, interrupts, GPIOs and regulators. Files are processed locally in the browser.

[03]

PRODUCTION ARM PLATFORMS

PRODUCTION

End-to-end ownership of embedded Linux across multiple ARM hardware generations, from board bring-up and BSP development to deployment across thousands of production units.

[04]

KERNEL NOISE // LISTEN

OPEN SOURCE · EXPERIMENTAL

A small Linux sonification instrument written in C and Bash. It turns CPU activity, interrupt and context-switch rates from /proc/stat into real-time synthesized audio. Tested on Linux laptops and Raspberry Pi.

[05]

HIL / CI INFRASTRUCTURE

INFRASTRUCTURE

Automated hardware-in-the-loop validation using Dockerized GitLab CI, bringing real boards into the software release pipeline.

build systems. debug silicon.

Kernel Noise Labs is the engineering side of Kernel Noise — an independent practice focused on embedded Linux, kernel development and experimental systems.

Alongside production engineering and upstream contributions, I build tools that make complex systems easier to explore, understand and modify.

I care about systems that survive contact with real hardware, and about keeping the path from prototype to production understandable.
